We woke up this morning to the automated phone message from the kids school tellling us school was called off due to transportation issues.  Looked out the window and it was minus 15 with a wind chill much below that

Too cold for ice candles?

We started making our first batch of ice candles for the year.  They froze much thicker that I would have liked.  They did not freeze all the way through and we still managed to drain some of the water out for a really thick walled ice candle.  Stop and see Troy if you are in the area they are the only Christmas shopping he does

Bearskin trail groomed and set up

The last of the deer hunting closed last weekend and the Bearskin is now open to snowmobiles.  I am not sure if all the lakes are marked for safety but the trails are all open.  I am sure after this cold snap the lakes will firm up for snowmobiles in time for Christmas

Need to escape the relatives for Christmas, give a call I still have a few cabins open relative stree free.
