Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

It feels a lot like Christmas in the Northwoods.  Families have started to arrive to enjoy the holidays.

John and Maureen and their girls have decked out Norway complete with a beautiful Christmas tree.  Maureen’s family has long ties to the Cliff.  Her dad Edward Cockrin came first in 1948 shortly after Maynard bought the resort.  Edward returned after not being at the resort for years about 15 years ago at the age of 90.  He was so happy to see the resort he remembered still there for his family to enjoy.  Edward sadly passed away shortly after that but Maureen and John started their own tradition at that time and have been coming up with their girls enjoying the place that ment so much to their grandpa

They also want to wish a Merry Christmas to Brian on the USS Rodney Davis out in the Pacific who was not able to join them this year.  Next year hopefully he will make it

I loved Maureen’s stocking hangers.  I usually just had small screws in my mantel to hang the stockings  I loved the hooks Maureen used
