While we were getting ready to do some lake hockey, we spotted Tom from Hilltop with his dog Jenny, marking the snowmobile trail across the lake.  When the trail is marked it means it is certified as safe for snowmobiles to cross.  Many have taken crossed ahead of Tom, but it is not something I would recommend.  He drills and checks the ice depth as he goes
