I was walking up the driveway yesterday with a load of sheets in my hands and was startled for a moment when I saw a flash of poles come flying around Bayview with a fast pair of walkers Wayne and Nancy Paulson.  They are always up to something new keeping up with their grandkids and staying young, but this was something new.  Nordic walking.  Grab your special poles and head to the woods whistling a Scandinavian tune

If you are going to Nordic walk you must dress the part so grab your favorite Fair Isle hat made by a Norwegian grandma… or a gnome and off you go in the woods enjoying your Scandinavian heritage.  Just forewarn me next time so I am prepared for the flash of poles coming out of the woods.  What a way to enjoy the colors on a cool fall day.  The Paulson’s may be on to something here
