What is the one thing that could put this look of concern on Mack’s face and have him retreating back up the beach steps?

Ice is forming on the lake.  If you are a golden retriever with insecurities about your feet leaving the ground this can be a petrifying sight.  Mack likes to wade in the lake but swimming and going out on the ice are not on his list of things he enjoys

Is it safe?

No wading or getting a drink in the shallows for a few months

I just hate it when this happens……

Mack will get used to it by Christmas when we are skating.
