We had a 3 day storm roll through which everyone in the Midwest dealt with.  For us it started out as snow, switched to ice and rain and back to snow.  The ice came down on the heavy wet snow and weighed down the trees snapping off some limbs.  The pines in the front yard took the biggest hit.  It was not a good idea to walk around outside with branches coming down

Then came the wind and cold and 3 hours without electric.

And more cold and more wind…..

Clear skies to see the pines weighing heavy with snow and ice.  I have seen it worse but it definitely had the potential of being much worse.  Cold and cabins without heat to keep them from freezing water lines is not my idea of fun before Christmas
